Christie Blevins Torbett

Beloved daughter, wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend went to be with her Savior on May 25th. Christie was preceded in death by her father, Reverend John Hugh Blevins, brother Steven Blevins, baby grandson Chance Kristofer Bailey and on May 22nd, sister in law Lovella Steever. She leaves behind her husband of 33 years, Billy Torbett, their children; Amy K. Bailey, Adam K. Sullivan, Alyssa K. Torbett-Anguiano and Alan K. Torbett, Sons in law Merk Bailey and Ramon Anguaino and daughter in law Christy Sullivan. “Memaw" to Jordan, Brandon, Merky, Rayce, Mercadies, Caleb, Jacob, Josiah, Brayden, Harley and MacKenna.Christie is also survived by her mother Hazel Pearl Blevins, sister and brother in law, Barbara and Jack Dobbs, brother and sister in law Marvin and Frances Blevins and brother and sister in law Harold and Lou Blevins. Christie also leaves behind her in laws, Buck and Mary Staton, and Herman Steever and Sandy Blevins.Christie had 11 nieces and 9 nephews and many loved cousins.She will be missed by countless friends and colleagues, many of whom have known and loved her for over 40 years. Box 600593,Dallas, Texas 75360.Funeral Service is at 10 AM Saturday, May 31, 2008 at First Baptist Church of Duncanville, 323 W. Wheatland Road @ Santa Fe Trail. Burial follows at Little Bethel Cemetery. Visitation is 7-9 PM, Friday at Jaynes Memorial Chapel,Duncanville, TX 75137.

Dear Torbett family I wish I could find the words to make all the pain all of you are feeling right now go away. Just remember how much Christie loved each and everyone of you. She will be missed so much. Please know our thoughts are with all of you.

So sorry for your loss. I worked with Christie over at FOX and her smiling face will be missed.
