Mom is just about the same this morning. The t.v. has been on in her area since surgery, but today, she told the nurse "t.v." and then held up four fingers....ever the Fox4 fan! She also wanted to touch her head...maybe tomorrow.
If you have trouble reaching us by phone, it is because we are taking care of one another which is such a testament to the mother we have. Christie's kids love her, and to honor that love we are devoted to ensuring that we each have time with mom and time together. Thank you so much for the great response to the blog and we hope to see our mom's dear friends when she moves to a regular room. Keep up the prayers and positive thoughts!

Thank you so much for the update. This is a wonderful way to share Christie's progress with us. She is a class act and it shows that she passed that along to her kids!

-The Ices
To Amy & the rest of the Torbett Family - - Thank you so much for creating this wonderful venue so we can keep up with Christie's recovery! It's a great way for us to get info without disturbing ya'll with pho calls!
Christie holding up 4 fingers to indicate the TV should be set on FOX4 is hysterical & sounds just like her!
Give her our love & let her know we continue to pray for her speedy recovery!

There are no words to describe my feelings for this family... You guys are a second family to me. I love each and every one of you. I wish there was more I could do for you all and especially more I could do for Mama Christie. Please know that you are in my thoughts and prayers and I am here for ANYTHING you might need.
All My Love ~
